This methodology explains how that process works, how conflicting information is handled and what a result shown on PrizeBondList.pk does and does not confirm.

National Savings states that its draw schedule contains the draw number, place and date, and directs users to its website for full draw lists.
What Is Result Verification Methodology?
Result verification methodology is the process used to determine whether Prize Bond information is sufficiently supported by official records to be published in our result database.
A draw has several separate pieces of information:

This separation matters. A correct winning number attached to the wrong denomination or wrong draw would still be inaccurate information.
Our Prize Bond Result Source Hierarchy
PrizeBondList.pk follows a defined source hierarchy rather than treating every website carrying a draw list as equally reliable.
1. Central Directorate of National Savings
National Savings is our primary source for:
- official draw lists
- denomination information
- draw schedules
- Prize Bond scheme information
- current and historical draw records
- Premium Prize Bond information
National Savings currently provides downloadable draw records for standard and Premium Prize Bond denominations and also maintains a Prize Bond draw-search facility.
2. State Bank of Pakistan and SBP BSC
State Bank of Pakistan and SBP Banking Services Corporation records are used where they provide additional or more specific documentation relating to a draw, Prize Bond procedure or operational rule.
SBP’s customer facilitation section includes National Prize Bonds, Premium Prize Bonds and Prize Bond draw results among its supported topics.
3. Federal Board of Revenue
FBR is used when a page includes tax information that requires tax-law verification.
Tax information is not inferred from the winning-number database. It is checked separately because filer status, Active Taxpayers List rules and withholding provisions can change independently of Prize Bond draw results.
FBR identifies lower withholding tax on Prize Bond winnings as one of the benefits associated with Active Taxpayer List status.
4. Secondary Sources
News websites, blogs, social-media posts, screenshots and third-party Prize Bond websites are not treated as primary evidence when an official record is available.
A secondary source may help us locate an issue that needs investigation, but it does not automatically replace an official record.
How We Verify a Prize Bond Result
Step 1: Identify the Correct Denomination
The denomination is checked first.
As of the latest verification, National Savings lists these current denominations:
- Rs.100
- Rs.200
- Rs.750
- Rs.1,500
- Rs.25,000 Premium Prize Bond, registered
- Rs.40,000 Premium Prize Bond, registered
National Savings lists the Rs.25,000 and Rs.40,000 products specifically as registered Premium Prize Bonds.
This prevents an important error: mixing the current registered Premium bonds with discontinued bearer Rs.25,000 or Rs.40,000 Prize Bonds.
Step 2: Verify the Draw Identity
Before processing winning numbers, we confirm the draw itself.
The main fields are:
- denomination
- draw number
- date
- city
National Savings describes the official draw schedule as containing the draw number, place and date.
If one of these fields does not match the official record, the result is reviewed before publication.
Step 3: Obtain the Official Draw List
Winning numbers are taken from or checked against the official draw record.
Depending on the draw, National Savings may provide downloadable records, text files, PDFs or records accessible through its draw pages and search system.
We do not assume that every official interface updates at exactly the same moment. For example, National Savings has previously published a notice stating that a downloadable text result was available while the Draw Search section was still being updated.
For that reason, the underlying official draw record is more important to our verification process than the temporary status of one search interface.
Step 4: Check Prize Categories Separately
First-prize, second-prize and other winning numbers are kept in their correct prize categories.
We do not simply create one undifferentiated list of winning numbers.
This allows a checker to answer two separate questions:
- Did this number appear in the draw?
- Which prize category did it appear under?
Prize amounts are also checked against the applicable official scheme information rather than assumed from an older draw or another denomination.
Step 5: Preserve the Exact Bond Number
Prize Bond numbers must be stored consistently.
A number with leading zeros must not lose those zeros during database processing. For example, a number displayed as:
001234
must not be converted into:
1234
for display or matching purposes.
The database may use normalization internally for searching, but the published result should preserve the number in the correct Prize Bond format.
Step 6: Run Consistency Checks
Before or after import, draw data is checked for obvious inconsistencies such as:
- wrong denomination
- duplicate first-prize entry
- wrong draw number
- impossible date association
- winning numbers assigned to the wrong prize tier
- missing leading zeros
- incomplete result lists
- Premium results stored as ordinary bearer-bond results
Where possible, the number of entries is also compared with the structure of the official result.
An automated import is not considered a substitute for source verification.
Step 7: Publish the Result in the Correct Historical Context
Once verified, the result is connected to the correct denomination, draw and year.
Historical records remain historical.
A 2019 Prize Bond result may still be useful for checking an old bond number, but its prize structure, available denominations or procedures should not automatically be presented as the current rules in 2026.
How We Handle Conflicting Prize Bond Results
Conflicts occasionally occur because an official page may be updated, one interface may lag behind another, or an older copy of a result may remain available online.
When two records disagree, PrizeBondList.pk does not combine them or choose the version that appears most often on other websites.
We check:
- whether both records are genuinely official;
- which authority issued each record;
- whether one is newer or corrected;
- whether the records refer to exactly the same denomination and draw;
- whether an official correction or replacement has been published.
If the conflict cannot be resolved confidently, the information should be held for review or clearly marked rather than guessed.
Current and Historical Data Are Kept Separate
One of the biggest risks in Prize Bond publishing is using an authentic old fact in a current context.
For example, an old draw file may be genuine but may relate to a denomination or scheme that has since changed.
PrizeBondList.pk therefore distinguishes between:
- current Prize Bonds
- historical Prize Bond results
- discontinued bearer denominations
- registered Premium Prize Bonds
- current procedures
- historical procedures
This distinction is especially important for Rs.25,000 and Rs.40,000 bonds because the current Premium Prize Bonds are registered products and should not be confused with the withdrawn bearer versions.
What the PrizeBondList.pk Checker Confirms
The Prize Bond checker is designed to make a large result database easier to search.
A successful match means that the entered number was found in the PrizeBondList.pk result data for the indicated draw or denomination.
It does not by itself confirm that a prize claim will be accepted.
National Savings states that Prize Bonds must meet eligibility rules in addition to having a winning number. Its current FAQ, for example, says Prize Bonds issued at least 60 days before the draw date are entitled to participate in that draw.
Other matters, such as the original bond, authenticity, condition of the instrument and applicable claim rules, are handled by the authorized authorities.
Use the checker as a fast search tool. Use the corresponding official result and authorized claim channel for final verification.
Why We Do Not Treat Screenshots as Final Evidence
A screenshot can be edited, cropped or taken from an outdated page.
The same problem applies to WhatsApp messages, Facebook posts, YouTube videos and images claiming to show winning numbers.
They may alert us to a possible result, but a result is not added or changed solely because a screenshot is circulating online.
The number must be traceable to an authoritative record.
How Corrections Are Handled
If a user reports a possible result error, we recheck the source rather than changing the database immediately.
A useful error report should include:
- denomination
- draw number
- draw date if known
- Prize Bond number
- result currently shown on PrizeBondList.pk
- result the user believes is correct
- official source, if available
The relevant draw is then checked against the official record.
If PrizeBondList.pk is wrong, the database or page should be corrected. If the site matches the official record, the existing result remains unless newer authoritative evidence becomes available.
A disagreement with an official result is not treated as a website correction unless the official authority itself changes or corrects the record.
Verification of Non-Result Information
Winning numbers are only one type of Prize Bond information.
Rules such as:
- current denominations
- claim periods
- tax treatment
- purchase procedures
- Premium Prize Bond rules
- discontinued schemes
are checked separately.
For example, National Savings currently states that the maximum period for claiming a Prize Bond prize is six years from the relevant draw date. It also publishes current filer and non-filer withholding information on its Prize Bond pages.
These rules are not hard-coded permanently into our result verification process. They can change, so current procedural pages are rechecked against the appropriate authority.

PrizeBondList.pk is an independent information website and is not operated by National Savings, the State Bank of Pakistan or the Government of Pakistan.
